ZIFA suspended PSL Referee

The Zimbabwean Football Association released a statement on Monday that the referee Rusununguko Mutero has been suspended from officiating Premier Soccer League matches. The suspension is for the period of six match days, covering matchday 24 to 29 as per the released statement.

ZIFA says the decision has been taken to make an assessment of his performance during the league match between Green Fuel FC and FC Platinum on 26 July 2025. According to the report by the match commissioner, the officiating on the day fell short of the expected standards, which constitutes a breach of the Referees code of conduct in paragraph 21.
