Following the announcement made by Orlando Pirates that they have parted ways with Zakhele Lepasa, the 28-year-old striker breaks silence on his departure. Lepasa played for a number of clubs in his professional career, the likes of Stellenbosch FC, TS Galaxy, and Supersport United. In 2019, he scored a penalty after the 90th minute to give TS Galaxy the Nedbank Cup trophy, beating Kaizer.
On his departure, Lepasa said, "I had a difficult time trying to process what was happening in the past two weeks in my life. I've known for a while that I'm going to leave the club and I've used this time to reflect. I'd first like to thank the chairman for giving me the opportunity, the technical team, coach, kit manager, players, and the fans.
"As I step into the next chapter of my life, I'm looking forward with excitement. I'm so grateful for what I have left behind; once and always."
