Xolani Khumalo out on bail

Sizokthola presenter and Action SA Ekurhuleni Mayoral candidate Xolani Khumalo handed himself over to Ramokonopi police station in Katlehong. Xolani is facing charges of an alleged assault on an alleged drug dealer in December 2025. His party Action SA says Xolani was part of the police when the alleged assault on the alleged drug dealer took place. Xolani is known as a TV host on the programme called Sizokthola where he goes after drug dealers across the country. 

Action SA supporters, March and March, Katlehong parliament and other local organizations came to support Xolani on Monday morning. Action SA National chairperson Michael Beaumont told members of the media that Xolani is not a man who fears accountability. After hearing rumours about the assault, he handed himself over to the police. After he was officially charged, the matter went straight to Palm Ridge Magistrate Court on Monday afternoon. A lot of people around were accusing the police of collaborating with drug dealers by trying to silence those who fight against criminality.

In court, the state argued that they still want to verify his address before the grant application could be considered. Xolani was represented by well-known Advocate Zola Majavu who is known by football fans as the PSL prosecutor. The court decided to grant Xolani bail of R2000.00 and he will appear again on the 18th of February 2026.
