William Mwanza saved Zambia

Zambian national team goalkeeper William Mwanza is the hero after he saved a penalty in the first half , in the match against Mali . Both coaches Moses Sichone on Zambia and Tom Saintfiet on Mali started the game using the same formation 4-2-3-1 . In the first half half in the 40th minute on loan striker El Bilal from the Turkish side Besiktas misses a penalty from the spot , it was saved by Power Dynamos goalkeeper William Mwanza . Patson Banda who scored in the 90+2 minute for Zambia came in for Mathew Banda . 

The 27 years old striker is playing in English for the Championship side Leicester City . Alion Dieng got the yellow card in the 65th minute for Mali and in Zambia David Simukonda was booked in the 69th minute . In Group A currently Morocco is on top of the group with three points after beating Comoros in the opening match of the AFCON 2025 in Morocco .
