Update on the earlier drama on Senzo Meyiwa murder trial

The state led by prosecutor George Baloyi were expected to prove that Sifiso Zungu is the one who made his statement , following the objections made by defence Advocate Charles Mnisi last week .During the proceedings , defence witness Sifiso Zungu raised concerns that he saw the police taking out people whom he arrived with . Advocate Mnisi asked for adjournement to find out what exactly was happening . On his return ; Mnisi told the court that there developments regarding the current case , he indicated that is not worth to mention that on record . Advocate Sipho Ramasepele and Nxumalo both agreed with Mnisi and furher indicate that they will have to take instructions from their clients . State prosecutor George Baloyi said " We were informed that there is on going investigation " . According to George Baloyi bouth parties have agreed that , the matter must adjourned till tomorrow .

The South African Police Service released a statement that a case of conspiracy to commit murder has been registered and under investigation in relation to the Senzo Meyiwa trial . The SAPS has received solid intelligence that there are group of individuals who attend proceedings with the sole purpose of looking for an opportunity to eliminate key role players on the side of the state . The SAPS has taken a group of individuals who attended proceedings this morning for further questioning and profiling . Security has been heightened and intelligence is on high alert . All steps taken are to ensure we eliminate the threat as well as to protect and save lives . No arrests have been made thus far as investigations and search for more individuals continue . According to latest report , Arrested persons have all been released without being charged .
