Thato Sibiya on his Mamelodi Sundowns debut

Amajita under 20 defender and Mamelodi Sundowns DDC defender Thato Sibiya has finally made his senior team debut . Mamelodi Sundowns coach Miguel Cardoso started the match with Thato Sibiya in the Betway premiership match against Orbit College at Loftus Versfeld Stadium on Monday night . It was the first betway premiership match in 2026 after the break since December . Mamelodi Sundowns players are all back in the team after they went to AFCON in Morocco to represent Bafana Bafana .

In first half Arthur Sales opened the scoring for Masandawana in the 26th minute . In the second half only three Mamelodi Sundowns players received bookings , Thapelo  , Arthur Sales and Siphelele Mkhulise . Orbit College received two bookings ; Mokwena and Ayanda Lukhele in the 90th minute . Mamelodi Sundowns coach Miguel Cardoso made changes in the second half . The new signing Colombian striker Leon Muniz came in for Lebo Mothiba . Nuno Santos for Tashreeq Matthews , Themba Zwane for Letlhaku , Marcelo Allende for Jayden Adams , Reisinho for Thapelo Morena .

Orbit College also made changes; the new signing Surprise Ralani came in for Ramosala , Nkomo in for Chibwe , Ayanda Lukhele for Lucky Mahlatsi , Mahlangu for Mokwena , Mabele for Modimoeng . In the 65th minute Leon Muniz scored the second goal for Masandawana to make sure that they collected all points in the betway premiership . Thato Sibiya who won the man of the match said " I don't have words to say . Its a blessing , my mentality was to just playing game like in the DDC " .
