Advocate Teffo Malesela told Ntsiki Mazwai on her podcast that the lead investigator on Senzo Meyiwa murder trial, Brigadier Bongani Gininda, is the scriptwriter and executive producer of all evidence in court. Malesela Teffo was arrested on the 1st October 2023, and released on the 10th December 2024.
Malesela said, "this thing of me being struck off the roll has emanated from me being involved in the Senzo Meyiwa case. I was asked by Sifiso Meyiwa, brother of the late Senzo, to be a watching brief. The five accused were arrested in 2020 when Bheki Cele announced that they had a breakthrough in the Senzo Meyiwa case. Colonel Buthelezi and Warrant Officer Makhubo spoke to Sifiso Meyiwa about this case.
"Baloyi and Gininda know how Senzo died. They know these guys were not there when Senzo died. In this case, we have a scriptwriter, Gininda. There are six warrants of arrest but only five executed. We have one not executed, which is Nonhlanhla Kelly Khumalo. She has been treated unfairly; Kelly wanted to come and testify. Baloyi doesn't want Kelly to come.
"Already seven million has been spent in this case; 25 thousand rand a day is how defense lawyers are earning in the High Court. There's a reason why this matter was taken from Johannesburg to Pretoria High Court. The matter was taken to Pretoria to deal with me. If I was not in this case, Fiso, accused number five, was going to take responsibility for killing Senzo.
"The mastermind in this case is George Baloyi. The firearm that was used to kill Senzo is the firearm of George Baloyi."
