Steenhuisen is happy to see Malema falling

Democratic Alliance party leader John Steenhuisen is welcoming the East London Magistrate Court ruling against Julius Malema. The court has found that Economic Freedom Fighters leader Julius Malema contravened the Firearms Control Act and he has been found guilty on several charges.

Steenhuisen said in his media statement, "We welcome the guilty ruling against Julius Malema as an important step towards justice and accountability. However, Mr. Malema's conduct outside of court once again demonstrated his disregard for the values of our democracy. At a time when South Africa desperately needs leadership that heals division and builds unity, he continues to choose rhetoric that fuels anger and hate.
