Sekhukhune United started the Betway Premiership season on a high note after beating Orlando Pirates 1-0 at Orlando Stadium on Saturday evening. Orlando Pirates fans came in numbers following the club's good performance last weekend against Polokwane City in the MTN 8 quarter-final match.
In the second half in the 48th minute, Siphesihle Mkhize scored to give Erick Tinkler's side all three points. Orlando Pirates coach Abdeslam Ouaddou made changes in the second half, bringing Kabelo Dlamini for Patrick Maswanganyi, Kamogelo Sebelebele for Oswin Appollis, and Abdoulaye Mariko for Sipho Mbule.
Erick Tinkler made changes as well, replacing Linda Mntambo for Sydney Malivha, William Mncube for Bright Ndlovu, Thabang Monare for Miguel Timm, Bradley Grobler for Chibuike Ohizu, and Matlala Makgalwa for Mampuru.
