Sekhukhune United stun Kaizer Chiefs

Sekhukhune United ended Kaizer Chiefs' unbeaten run in the Betway Premiership at FNB Stadium on Tuesday night. Amakhosi came into the game without conceding a goal in their last five matches in the league. In the first five minutes of the first half, Bradley Grobler opened the scoring for Babina Noko. 

Kaizer Chiefs' goal came from Flavio Da Silva, which was his second goal in the league. In the second half, Sekhukhune United came back strong, and Bradley Grobler completed his brace to silence the crowd at FNB Stadium. The former Orlando Pirates midfielder Thabang Monare added more pain to the Kaizer Chiefs fans when he scored the third goal to take Babina Noko to the top of the Betway Premiership table.

Amakhosi will now shift their focus to the CAF Confederations Cup in Angola before facing Marumo Gallants on the 24th of September 2025. After the match, Kaizer Chiefs coach Nasreddine Nabi admitted that his side did not defend well in the match.
