Mamelodi Sundowns have managed to beat Magesi FC 2-0 in the Betway Premiership match at Seshego Stadium on Wednesday night. Jayden Adams and Peter Shalulile scored to get Masandawana closer to the top league position. In the first half, Magesi FC Coach John Maduka applied a low block to prevent Sundowns from playing their passing game.

The former Orlando Pirates striker Andries Sebola, who is now on Thobela FM as a soccer analyst, said after the game, "It was a game of two halves. In the first half, Magesi FC played very well, but in the second half, Sundowns were able to take their chances. Cardoso (Sundowns coach) made changes, and it is when they were able to break the low block by Magesi FC."

In the second half, Mamelodi Sundowns coach Miguel Cardoso made changes; he introduced Lebo Mothiba for Kutlwano Lethlaku, Marcelo Allende for Sphelele Mkhulise, Thapelo Morena for Bathusi Aubaas, Tashreeq Matthews for Siyabonga Mabena, and Thapelo Maseko for Grant Kekana.
