Rulani Mokwena on Sead Ramovic
The two rivals Rulani Mokwena and Sead Ramovic have met again in the Algerian football league match on Monday night. The former Mamelodi Sundowns coach Rulani Mokwena is the head coach for MC Alger and Sead Ramovic is the head for CR Belouizdad, Khanyisa Mayo's former club. Mokwena left Mamelodi Sundowns last year to join Moroccan side Wydad Athletic Club before joining MC Alger.
Sead Ramovic left Ts Galaxy to join Tanzanian side Young Africans before joining CR Belouizdad. The two sides met on Monday night; MC Alger won 2-1 coming from 1-0 down. In the 18th minute, CR Belouizdad star El Melaili opened the scoring. In the 24th minute, Soufiane Bayazid found the equalizer for Rulani Mokwena's side after VAR decisions. Towards the end of the match in the 81st minute, A Bangoura scored the winner to keep the unbeaten record for Rulani Mokwena in Algeria.
As the league table stands, MC Alger is still on top of the premier league table. During the post-match interview after the match, Rulani said, "For the rivalry, you need two people with problems; you know, beef. Check the archives; you can quote me saying anything about Ramovic. Everything has been offside. If I'm wrong, you can check the archives. I'm just proud of the team; I'm proud to be part of MC Alger. I'm proud to be part of this group, and even if I can contribute with 5%, I'm proud to make this contribution. It is for the club and for the fans, and this is what makes me happy."
