Patrick Maswanganyi on Abdeslam Ouaddou

On Saturday in the MTN 8 Semi Final 2nd leg match between Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns, we saw Orlando Pirates coach Abdeslam Ouaddou replacing Patrick Maswanganyi for Bandile Shandu in the first half. Maswanganyi has come out and given clarity on what happened on the day.

After winning the man of the match on Tuesday night against Orbit College at Orlando Stadium, Tito said, "I wanna thank my family, my teammates, and God; I have been having tough times. We managed to get a goal even though we wanted more. The coach spoke to me about his decision against Mamelodi Sundowns."

"It was not personal, it was a tactical decision." Lebone Seema got his first goal at Orlando Pirates. Ouaddou made changes in the second half, replacing Abdoulaye Mariko, Sihle Nduli, and Deon Hotto. All for Thalente Mbatha, Sipho Mbule, and Nkosikhona Ndaba. 

Tshepang Moremi and Evidence Makgopa also came in for Oswin Appollis and Tshegofatso Mabasa. Orlando Pirates will face Chippa United in the next game at Nelson Mandela Bay.
