Kaizer Chiefs defender Paseka Mako revealed what the coach said to him when he joined the club from Orlando Pirates. Mako was speaking on Supersport TV after the win against Lamontville Golden Arrows at Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban. Kaizer Chiefs' goal came in the 69th minute by Flavio Da Silva.

Mako, who won the man of the match, said, "Thanks to the chairman and the technical team. The coach said to me, we have good players in the team: Shinga and Cross. We must be consistent because the league is a marathon. At training, we are busy on defending; he always tells us that if we can't score, we must keep a clean sheet."

"At home, they are supporting Kaizer Chiefs; even my grandfather wanted me to play for Kaizer Chiefs." Coach Nabi mentioned that some of his players came into the game very tired after the Mamelodi Sundowns match at FNB Stadium on Wednesday night, but he admits that it is normal.
