The 23-year-old Orlando Pirates and Bafana Bafana winger Oswin Appollis scored against his former club Polokwane City at Orlando Stadium on Saturday afternoon. Ezikamagebhula dominated the game from the beginning, with Sipho Mbule in the middle showing his capabilities. It was not a surprise when Oswin Appollis scored in the 13th minute to give Orlando Pirates a lead in the first half.

In the fully packed stadium, Orlando Pirates continued their dominance. Just before the halftime, the referee awarded them a penalty, and the fans at the stadium shouted "Tito, Tito." Patrick Maswanganyi made no mistake. In the second half, Polokwane City tried to come back into the game, but they weren't able to create clear goal-scoring chances. Orlando Pirates are through to the semifinals of the MTN 8 after finishing the match with 2-0 against Polokwane City.

Oswin Appollis, on his Instagram account, said, "Same game, grateful to debut alongside this talented and driven team. Onward up the BUCS." Orlando Pirates coach Abdeslam Ouaddou, who was also in his first official game, said after the game, "I'm not here to chill; I know why the club brought me here. It's not going to be easy, but there's a big expectation. We want to give the best."
