The former Polokwane City and Bafana Bafana winger Oswin Appollis provided his first assist since joining Orlando Pirates. Ezikamagebhula played a 1-1 draw against Cyprus side Pafos FC on Sunday morning at Marbella Football Centre in Spain.
Orlando Pirates came back from 1-0 down in the 23rd minute by Relebohile Mofokeng. To finish their pre-season training in Spain, Pirates will play against Las Palmas and Granada, both from Spain. After the match, Appollis told Supersport TV that he saw Relebohile Mofokeng on the run then decided to play the ball between the defenders.
"It's amazing but there's a lot of work to be done. We did a lot of what the coach has been asking," Relebohile Mofokeng said. "If you play as a winger you must be able to use both legs. When I received the ball from Appollis I saw a defender; if he touches me it was going to be a penalty. At first, I was thinking to pass the ball but then I said no. It was a perfect pass from him (Appollis), he made it easy for me."
