Betway Premiership club Orlando Pirates left the country on Monday evening to Spain for the pre-season training. Ezikamagebhula went to Spain last year under the previous mentor Jose Riveiro, who is now in Egypt for Al Ahly. Ahead of the trip to Spain, the club made a number of new signings under the new coach Abdeslam Ouaddou, who joined the club from Marumo Gallants.
The list of new players is: Yanela Mbuthuma from Richards Bay, Masindi Nemtajela from Marumo Gallants, Tshepang Moremi from AmaZulu FC, Sinoxolo Kwayiba from Chippa United, Tshepo Mashiloane from Baroka FC, Sihle Nduli from Stellenbosch FC, Sipho Mbule from Mamelodi Sundowns, and Oswin Appollis from Polokwane City.
For the pre-season in Spain, they will be playing against Bolton Wanderers from England on the 11th of July, Pafos FC from Cyprus on the 13th of July, Las Palmas from Spain on the 17th of July, and Granada on the 19th of July 2025. Upon arrival in South Africa, they will play against Polokwane City in the MTN 8 prior to the Betway Premiership new season.
