Nigeria has managed to win a bronze medal after beating Egypt in the third and fourth place match in Casablanca on Saturday night. The two sides ended the match 0-0 after extra time. In the first half, only Nigerians received yellow cards: Paul Onuachu and Moses Simon.  Onuachu's goal was disallowed by VAR due to a foul in the 36th minute. In the second half, both sides made changes; Egypt replaced Zizo with Marmoush, Trezeguet with Saber, and M. Mohamed with Ibrahim Adel. Nigerian changes in the second half included Onuachu replaced by Lookman.

Osayi Samuel went off for Alex Iwobi, Chukwueze out for Chidera Ejuke, and Semi Ajayi off for Awaziem. In the penalties, Chippa United and Nigerian goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali saved two penalties. Liverpool and Egypt captain Mohamed Salah missed the first penalty and Omar Marmoush missed the second. Rami Rabia and Mahmoud Saber scored for Egypt. On the Nigerian side, Dele Bashiru missed the first penalty. Akor Adam, Moses Simon, Alex Iwobi, and Lookman scored for Nigeria.  

Stanley Nwabali won the man of the match award. Nwabali said, "First, thanks to my nation; a lot of fans came today and I really appreciate it. My teammates did their best. This is not the position we wanted in this tournament, but we will take it. I'm happy."
