Napoli wins league title

Napoli have managed to win the Italian Serie A title after beating Cagliari 2-0 on Friday night. Goals from McTominay in the 42nd minute and Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku in the 51st minute were enough to open a gap of a point from Inter Milan. Napoli finished the season with 82 points followed by Inter Milan with 81 points.

Napoli, Inter Milan, Atalanta, and Juventus have all qualified to play in the UEFA Champions League next season. AS Roma will be playing in the Europa League, Lazio will be playing in the UEFA Conference qualification league. Empoli, Venezia, and Monza are all relegated to the lower division.
