Mthokozisi Thwala testimony on Senzo Meyiwa case

Friend of the late Orlando Pirates and Bafana Bafana goalkeeper Senzo Meyiwa has already testified in Court regarding the night where Meyiwa was shot and killed in Vosloorus . The incident happened when Senzo Meyiwa was visiting his girlfriend Kelly Khumalo on the 26 October 2014 . According to the version given by Mthokozisi Thwala , Two intruders entered the house through the kitchen . One of them carried a firearm and he demanded cell phones and money .

At the time the incident happened , seven people who were in the house . It was the deceased Senzo Meyiwa , Longwe Twala , Tumelo Madlala , Kelly Khumalo , Zandile Khumalo , Mthokozisi Thwala , Gladness Khumalo . According to Mthokozisi Thwala ; there was a scuffle with intruders and shot rang out . He ran out the house just after the first shot. The intruder chased him out till he jumped the wall fence to the neighbor .

The intruder continued to run . Thwala returned to the house it is when he saw Senzo Meyiwa lying with a bullet wound on his chest . In court he was asked by the State Prosecutor on whether he saw , who fired the shot on that night . Thwala said " I cannot say i did saw but there was only one person who was carrying a firearm . After the gun shot we were all nervous , and I noticed that we were all going separate ways . Even the boy ( Christian ) who was next to me ran towards the seating room .

" At that time I was still inside the kitchen , towards the side of the fridge . Zandi and her mother were assaulting the armed intruder using Tumelo Madlanga's crutches . At the time i ran out , Senzo was coming towards the side of the fridge . After I jumped the fence , the second intruder didn't jump the fence . He just walked down the road . The neighbor asked who I was , I then introduced myself and said we have been robbed . After a while we jumped back to the Kelly Khumalo mother's house . We then met Kelly's mother outside asking her about the intruder " .
