Al Ettifaq and Bafana Bafana striker Mohau Nkota said the mood is positive in the team. Bafana Bafana will be up against Angola in their opening match in the Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco. Bafana Bafana won 1-0 last week in the friendly match against Ghana at Dobsonville Stadium in Soweto. In the previous tournament in Ivory Coast, Bafana Bafana went on to lose in the Semi Final against Nigeria on penalties. Nkota said, "for me is to prove myself, make a name for myself. I can score goals, create, and assist."

"The mood is always positive in the team. We are working together and that's all we are here for." Angola national team coach Patrice Beaumelle praises coach Hugo Broos for what he has achieved with the team. Speaking in the press conference, he said, "I want to say to South Africa; congratulations for the job well done in the past years. I'm happy for South Africa, Bafana Bafana, of course I love the part of Africa; I've been there for a long time. I have a lot of respect for South Africa. The knowledge is, they have a lot of skills, a lot of speed."

"I think there's a lot of confidence because everybody is talking about teams in the world. If you check; getting 26 games without losing is massive, it's impressive. As I said to my boys yesterday, we are eager, that is a good test for us to try and move forward because we are a good team. Everybody knows that we are ready to play against the strong team."
