Mike Makaab on Nasreddine Nabi

Following the disastrous season for Kaizer Chiefs, CEO of ProSport International Mr. Mike Makaab has made an opinion regarding the overall performance of the club. Amakhosi will not be participating in the 2026 MTN 8 cup after finishing the season outside the Top 8.

Amakhosi were unfortunate not to be given a penalty in the last few seconds before the final whistle in the Betway Premiership match against Polokwane City at FNB Stadium on Saturday afternoon. The match ended in a 0-0 draw, which was a must-win match for Amakhosi.

Speaking on Gagasi FM with Simtho Dladla, Makaab said, "he's won the cup, he's qualified for the competition in the African continent. Maybe he's right to be given a transfer window where he can bring in a few players he needs. Let's hope that results are forthcoming because it's unacceptable for a team like Kaizer Chiefs to finish outside the Top 8 in my opinion."

"It's a second season that is happening, and last is deemed as failure. If he had not won the Nedbank Cup, this season would have been a bigger failure than it was last season."
