Khanyisa Mayo joins Kaizer Chiefs

Amakhosi have strengthened their striking force by introducing Khanyisa Mayo in Naturena. Following the decision taken by the German coach at CR Belouizdad, Coach Sead Ramovic, to deregister Mayo, Kaizer Chiefs wasted no time to recruit Mayo on one year loan deal with an option for permanent deal . He joined the Algerian side in August 2024 , his contract expires in 2027 with Algerians . He managed to score against Orlando Pirates in the CAF Champions League match.

In South Africa, he played for a number of clubs the likes of Cape Town City, Richards Bay, Royal Eagles, Supersport United, and Ubuntu. In the last game prior to the FIFA break, Kaizer Chiefs won 1-0 against Lamontville Golden Arrows. In the first five matches in the Betway Premiership, Amakhosi haven't yet conceded a goal and are still unbeaten.

On the 16th of September, Kaizer Chiefs will host log leaders Sekhukhune United at FNB Stadium before starting their CAF Confederation Cup journey.
