Kaizer Chiefs have started the Betway Premiership season 2025/26 with a 100% record. Amakhosi secured all three points at FNB Stadium on Tuesday night when they beat Richards Bay 1-0. The only goal in the match came in the second half by Gaston Sirino in the 57th minute.
Sirino came on as a sub to replace Sibongiseni Mthethwa, Mfundo Vilakazi replaced Mduduzi Shabalala, and Pule Mmodi replaced Wandile Duba. In the first half, Aden McCarthy was taken out due to injury; he was replaced by Zitha Kwinika. Amakhosi are now second on the log after beating Stellenbosch and Polokwane City.
In the absence of Nasreddine Nabi, Khalil Ben Youssef, who is in charge, has never lost a match. Amakhosi will face the reigning champions Mamelodi Sundowns next week in the Betway Premiership match, before traveling to Durban to play against Lamontville Golden Arrows.
