The former Kwaito star Kabelo Mabalane was celebrating his 23 years of sobriety at Hoerskool Secondary School in Elsburg on Tuesday morning. Mabalane, who is a former TKZee group member, is later known as Mr. Booga Love. Kabelo is now a Pastor and a born-again Christian. At the event organized by World Changers Candidates, Mabalane told the learners to stay away from substance abuse.
The school principal, Van der Merwe, asked the learners to consider and understand the effects of using substances. Other guests who attended the event are Prince Longwe, who is the deputy president at Hoerskool Secondary School, Kabelo Mokoshane, a Grade 10 learner, and Lucas Mahlakgane, a Manager of World Changers Candidate.
Palesa Labase, a 2024 Leondale High School matriculant, Sandile Radebe, a Phumula High School 2024 matriculant, and Faith Mathebula, a World Changers Candidate, are also mentioned. Other organizations that attended the event are the Department of Education, Drug Free World, and the Department of Social Development.
