Judge Hlophe on Floyd Shivambu
Umkhonto Wesizwe Party Deputy president Mr. John Hlophe has finally broken his silence on why there's always changes in the MK party . Speaking to Lelethu on his podcast, Hlophe said " Jacob Zuma attracted a lot of bad elements , and if I was a bad element I wouldn't tel him that im a bad element . I would say im very loyal to you . Now Mr. Zuma us very clever ,there's no doubt about it . He is very clever but obviously he is a human being as well ; basically it think instability as you call it , it occurred because a lot of people that he trusted who came there .
" So we are beginning to see their true colour's. Without mentioning the names of the people I think we've had seven SG's they were all here for different reasons . The last one that we had , I can mention the very last change that we had ; Floyd forms his own political party . There were problems but i don't want to go into those problems. There were problems and eventually he then forms his own party . Perhaps it is not wise of me to go into those problems . He came there he was trusted by the president , we all trusted him , we worked very closed all of us .
" He came as National Organiser and eventually became the secretary General. But after his trip to Malawi ; there were obviously problems . Bushiri and there were also lot of complaints we got from our strategic partners . The moslaim community ; when the MK was formed it was meant to be Umbrella both along the similar lines with UDF . He draw everybody because we wanted two third majority . We still want two third majority . So the idea was everybody who wants two third majority , every black person who believes that we are oppressed come and join us .
" Obviously the definition of black is wide enough to include moslaim . When comrades Floyd went, I think the problem started when he went to Malawi . There was a lot of pressure from ours and other internal problems that I should not go into in now . Briefly the fat reasons for change , just like in parliament . The changes that you see , I think are exaggerated . Sihle Ngubeni did well but I think a change was , Baba ( Jacob Zuma ) wanted particular stage of development . He needed someone with particular kind of expertise , perhaps Sihle did not have. I'm speculating " .
