Richards Bay Chairman Jomo Biyela responded on whether the club will be playing their home games at Mhlathuze in the new season or not. Speaking to Victor Molefe at Ukhozi FM Prime Time Sports, "From where I am, I have no power to decide on that because we are all under the leadership of the PSL."

"Even though we still have to do some touch-ups, here and there, we still have two weeks to make it possible. I had a meeting with the Mayor of Umhlathuze to discuss the matter." About winning the Premier's Cup by beating Durban City, Biyela said, "Everything went according to our plan as we wanted to introduce two different squads so that we give everyone a chance."

"At the end of the day, we achieved our objectives after five years of not playing on that ground. Fans came in numbers under the bad weather, so we want to thank the Department of Sport, Arts, and Culture who always invite us into these tournaments ahead of the new season."

"We were so much encouraged seeing fans attending these games. I saw that all the teams are ready for the new season; I watched all the games."
