Hugo Broos on Mbekezeli Mbokazi

Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos praises his defender Mbekezeli Mbokazi after showing good performances in the national team. Orlando Pirates defender has shown what he is capable of in the last three matches he played for the national team. Bafana Bafana drew 1-1 against Nigeria in the FIFA World Cup Qualifiers match in Bloemfontein on Tuesday evening.

Bafana Bafana opened the scoring in the 25th minute after Nigerian defender Troost Ekong scored an own goal, beating Stanley Nwabali. Towards the end of the first half, Nigeria found the equalizer through a header by Calvin Bassey, beating Ronwen Williams. During the press conference, Hugo Broos said, "this guy (Mbokazi) has to go to Europe."

"He is 19 years old, you see the way he is playing? It is like he has ten years' experience from this level. It is his third game with the national team; you see how he is playing? So, let's hope some of the players will go abroad. That will be good for South African football."
