Gwabini testimony on Senzo Meyiwa case

Sifiso Zungu known as Gwabini told the court in Pretoria that he was assaulted by police , who wanted information from him regarding the murder of Senzo Meyiwa . Gwabini said " When we depart from the house were i was sleeping . We drove from Naledi Mall towards the police station . On the way they asked me about the ladies , whose pictures were on the tabled . I said these ladies are from Sibiya family . After saying that , it is when they put plastic over my head with handcuffs . Mohane was driving a red car . I was under the impression that we are going to the police station .

" Instead they took me to the municipal offices ( Goldspot ) . After removing the plastic ; they said today you are going to tell the truth . They start asking me , how did Senzo Meyiwa died ? . The mistake i made was to say I know nothing about football and even about Senzo . They instructed me to dit down . I stretched my legs and Buthelezi is the one who came to me . He pressed down the handcuffs using his feet . They continued kicking me when I was down . Later they asked me , where was Muzi at the day when Senzo got shot  ? . I saw Mabhena was carrying a 5 litre container with water ; he poured me with water . 

" There were other police officers who were following us . Buthelezi was wearing traffic corp uniform. I cried loud and they stopped . They took me to the cemetery where they assaulted me till 4am . It was around midnight when we drove towards Chris Hani Crossing . When we arrived at the cemetery , a phone call was made and I heared them saying ; this person doesn't want to tell the truth . They assaulted me to a stage where I stopped crying . I was taken to the police station it was at 4:20 .

" When I was inside the cells , it was 5pm and when some one was asking me why are you here ? " . Advocate Charles Mnisi asked for a short  adjournment
