The former Mamelodi Sundowns ladies star Sesebo Jay Mokhopa speaking to MSIMANGO NEWS, "I played in the LFA Chappies league for under 12 in the mid 90s. I was the youngest player in the team, me and my little brother. I then got exposed to women's football in the year 2000.
"I was selected in the under 15 and later under 19 to represent Eastern Gauteng in the interprovincial tournament. We won and became the National Champions in the same year. We went to the US (United States) to play in the NIKE Premiere Cup. I later joined the club from KwaThema, Ekurhuleni called Total Bold Ladies, later it became Moroka Swallows Ladies. I then joined the SAFA under 19 academy based in HPC University of Pretoria, we were the first ones to be part of the academy. After joining Super Falcon, I won the Sasol National Championship.
"Mamelodi Sundowns saw me when I was playing for Luso Africa; it is where the late coach Brian Dube approached me and Maria Mutola, and we recommended coach Jerry Tshabalala. At Mamelodi Sundowns, I won the national playoffs."
