A 35-year-old French coach Romain Folz has won his first trophy with the Tanzanian side Young Africans. Folz, known as Fohloza in South Africa, has worked for Marumo Gallants and Mamelodi Sundowns in South Africa and in Botswana for Township Rollers.

On Friday, Young Africans beat Rayon Sports from Rwanda 3-1 in a pre-season friendly match at Amahoro Stadium in Rwanda. Speaking on Azam TV, Folz said, "As I said before the game; it's a first real competition game of the pre-season. So we take it as such; we are very far from being ready, physically, tactically, and technically.

"It's a good first impression that the boys are getting. You can see from the start, and you have a very good reaction. In a way, it's positive but very far away from what we can do. I want them to remain positive at all times. I believe negativity only brings more negativity when things are starting to shake a little bit.

"If you remain positive and confident about your abilities, you can overcome everything."
