Edmilson Dove on World Cup Qualifiers 2026

Mozambique national team captain Edmilson Dove is currently without a club after parting ways with Kaizer Chiefs. The 31-year-old defender who made his debut in the national team in 2015 in the Cosafa Cup against Malawi is without a club ahead of the important national team matches in September. Mozambique will play against Uganda on the 3rd of September 2025.

Botswana at home on the 6th and Guinea on the 8th. CAF led by Dr. Patrice Motsepe has approved Mozambique Stadium, meaning for the first time after a long time, Mozambique will be able to play in front of their supporters. Previously, Mozambique has managed to beat Botswana in the World Cup qualifiers and in the Cosafa Cup.
