Amakhosi are out in the Carling Black Label Knockout Cup tournament after being beaten by Stellenbosch FC 5-4 on penalties at DHL Stadium on Sunday afternoon. Towards the end of the extra time, Kaizer Chiefs' technical team wanted to take out Fiacre Ntwari for Bruce Bvuma. It's been a while since Ntwari played, so he got this chance in the absence of Brandon Petersen.

At the end, Ntwari did not leave the pitch. He managed to save the first penalty; meanwhile, Bruce Bvuma has never saved a penalty before. After the match, Kaizer Chiefs' assistant coach Cedric Kaze said the matter will be dealt with internally. Bafana Bafana and Kaizer Chiefs legend Doctor Khumalo said, "In this regard, based on my experience, the coach consults with the goalkeeper trainer."

"I think he (the goalkeeper coach) suggested that Bruce is better than Ntwari. The goalkeeper trainer is spending more time with goalkeepers."

The Carling Knockout Cup quarter-final draw took place on Sunday evening: Richards Bay vs Durban City; both clubs are from the same province, KwaZulu Natal. Marumo Gallants, who won on penalties against Mamelodi Sundowns, will face Stellenbosch FC. Orlando Pirates will face Magesi FC, who knocked them out of the same tournament last season. Golden Arrows, after beating Sekhukhune United, will play against TS Galaxy.
