Palace after playing 0-0 draw against Arsenal in the English premiership match midweek , A Lower division club Macclesfield FC surprises the English premiership club Crystal Palace in the FA Cup third round match on Saturday . The two sides met in the sold out Leasing Stadium . It was expected that Crystal Palace will dominate the match as they are playing in the premier league with lot of experience and the quality in the team . In the 42th minute Macclesfield opened the scoring by Paul Dawson . In the second half Macclesfield extended the lead in the 60th minute by Isaac Buckley putting more pressure into the premier league side .

Macclesfield technical team made changes into the team to secure the victory . Kay , Duffy and Lavey were taken out for Dos Santos , Matheson and Borthwick Jackson . The consolation goal from Crystal Palace came in the 89th minute by the Spanish midfielder Yeremy Santos Pino . It was too late for Palace to secure victory as the match ended 2-1 in favour of Macclesfield . After the match Palace manager Oliver Glasner says the performance was not good at all .

Speaking during media briefing he said " everything i try to explain , the performance . To find some excuses will be completely wrong . I have no words for this performance today . We almost created no chances in the attack . It was really hard to watch nobody even passed one , no physical presence , not being in the dangerous areas ; no kind of quality today in our attack . This is dissapointing because as you mentioned in a cup ; things can happen . If you play like this  it had to happen thats why it makes really hard " .
