Following the disappointments over the weekend where South African football fans were not able to watch their three clubs that are playing in CAF. AS Simba vs Kaizer Chiefs, Saint Eloi Lupopo vs Orlando Pirates, and 15 de Agosto vs Stellenbosch FC were all not on TV. Amakhosi drew 0-0, Orlando Pirates lost 3-0, and Stellenbosch FC drew 0-0.

CAF Head of TV and Communication Mr. Loxolo September told Thabiso Mosia on Radio 2000, Game On show that in the preliminary rounds, rights to broadcast matches are with the clubs; CAF is only responsible from the group stages.

"It is something we are trying to resolve, we are in process. I can assure you that we will do our best to help. Basically what it means, the home team must find the broadcaster, must strike a deal with the broadcaster. If you remember in the past; clubs did not get funds during the preliminary rounds but now under Patrice Motsepe are getting R1.6 million".
