Banyana Banyana midfielder on WAFCON tournament

WAFCON defending champions Banyana Banyana will play their opening match against Ghana on Monday 7 July 2025 in Morocco. Banyana Banyana midfielder Amogelang Motau told the members of the media that they have managed to adjust to the weather.

"I think the mood is becoming great, we have been struggling a bit with the heat but we are adjusting and everyone is coming into the camp. Even our session had to stop because of the weather, I think it is the mentality they are trying to instill in us. We are coming into this tournament like the last time. We are the contenders taking one game at a time."

"We are focusing on ourselves and the analysis team will do their work that needs to be done, which is to inform us about the game. Other than that we are good. I think the focus is mainly on us preparing for Ghana. We have been given analysis on how they are going to come at us. They are physical but again they have ball players like us. We will try to find a way to break them down. At training we are working on those things and they are coming together."
