Asante Kotoko wins Toyota Cup

Ghanaian side Asante Kotoko are the champions of the Toyota Cup after beating Kaizer Chiefs 3-2 on penalties at Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban. Amakhosi started the game very well, controlling the game in the middle with short passes. Kaizer Chiefs Coach Nasreddine Nabi started the game with Brandon Peterson, Nkanyiso Shinga, Inacio Miguel, Thabiso Monyane, Sibongiseni Mthethwa, and Thabo Cele.

In the second half, Nabi made changes; he introduced Mduduzi Shabalala, Pule Mmodi, Gaston Sirino, Wandile Duba, and Thulani Mabaso. Kaizer Chiefs captain Inacio Miguel missed the penalty towards the end of the match, which was going to be a winning goal for Amakhosi.

The match went into penalties; Gaston Sirino and Mduduzi Shabalala scored for Kaizer Chiefs. Wandile Duba missed the penalty and Inacio Miguel missed the second time in the game. After the match, Kaizer Chiefs fans were singing, showing no complaints towards the results.
