Betway premiership club Kaizer Chiefs have managed to get a draw in the Democratic Republic of Congo on Saturday afternoon. The two sides met at the Stade TP Mazembe Stadium in Lubumbashi for the CAF Confederations Cup 2nd preliminary round, 1st leg. Amakhosi started the game with Brandon Peterson, Dillan Solomons, Zitha Kwinika, Miguel Inacio, Bradley Cross, Siphesihle Ndlovu, Sibongiseni Mthethwa, Nkosingiphile Ngcobo, Makabi Lilepo, Pule Mmodi, and Khanyisa Mayo.

In the first half, both sides created a number of goal-scoring opportunities, but both goalkeepers made saves. Makabi Lilepo was giving the Congolese defender a hard time in the first half. He got an injury in the first half, though he managed to continue until the second half. In the 25th minute, AS Simba scored a great goal from the throw-in, but unfortunately, it was ruled offside. 

In the second half, Kaizer Chiefs coach Khalib Ben Youssef made substitutions: Wandile Duba, Mduduzi Shabalala, Thabo Cele, Mfundo Vilakazi, and Ashley Du Preez all came in. Khanyisa Mayo, Nkosingiphile Ngcobo, Siphesihle Ndlovu, Makabi Lilepo, and Pule Mmodi. Amakhosi will host the Congolese on the 26th of October at Dobsonville Stadium for the second leg.
