Antoine Semenyo on his Man City debut
Ghanaian star Antoine Semenyo has made his debut in the Manchester City colours. He joined the club from Bournemouth and wasted no time, as he has already scored his first goal in the club. Manchester City crushed Exeter City in the FA Cup third round match on Saturday afternoon. After playing a 1-1 draw with Brighton in the English premiership match midweek, Pep Guardiola showed no mercy to the Exeter City side as they were humiliated by ten goals to one.
Max Alleyne opened the scoring in the 12th minute. Rodri got the second in the 24th minute. Irish midfielder Doyle Hayes was unlucky to score an own goal in the 42nd minute. Jack Fitzwater, who recently signed a new deal with Exeter City, also scored an own goal just before the end of the first half. Two goals in the first 45 minutes were not good at all for Exeter City. In the second half, the rain of goals continued as in the 49th minute, Lewis added more salt to the wounds. The new signing Semenyo scored his first goal in the 54th minute. Reijnders scored in the 71st minute, O'Reilly in the 79th minute, McAidoo in the 86th minute before Lewis completed his brace in the 90th minute. The only goal for Exeter City came in the 90th minute by the attacking midfielder George Birch. Manchester City won 10-1.
