Absalom Zungu on Senzo Meyiwa case

The father of Constable Sizwe Zungu , Absalom Zungu gave his testimony at Pretoria High Court . Lead investigator Brigadier Bongani Gininda told the court during his testimony that Absalom Zungu made a statement confirming his knowledge regarding the death of Senzo Meyiwa . Gininda further told the court that , singer Kelly Khumalo called accused number five , Fisokuhle Ntuli prior to the 26 October 2014 .

According to the statement made by the police in court , Absalom Zungu is the one who gave the police a breakthrough regarding the suspects on Senzo Meyiwa murder . All the accused have denied their involvement on the killing of Bafana Bafana and Orlando Pirates goalkeeper Senzo Meyiwa . Absalom Zungu told the court that his son Sizwe Zungu came to visit him without calling him . Upon his arrival he tried to influence him to accept the proposal made by Brigadier Gininda .

According to Absalom Zungu , the police wanted him to change his surname from Zungu and testify in court as Khumalo . Sizwe Zungu made arrangements for Gininda to meet with him at his place . Gininda arrived driving a 4x4 vehicle and ask Absalom Zungu to go with him to town . On the way Absalom Zungu noticed that they are not actually going into town as they took another route . Inside the car there were four police officials and him ( Absalom Zungu ) .

Zungu said they arrived in the certain house that he cannot describe . He was then told what to say and Gininda was writing down . Absalom Zungu told the court that he felt threatened as he was told " we cannot be told by you . Amongst those officials , his son Sizwe Zungu was there but he was told to stay outside the house . Gininda were consulting with Sizwe Zungu who were standing outside . Absalom Zungu refused to be part of the cooking , he further refused to signed the statement wrote by Brigadier Gininda .
